Science Week & Sports relief...

It has been a couple of weeks since my last confession....but what a great couple of weeks they were!

Science week itself was packed with so many things thanks to Mrs Butler, our Science Lead's wonderful efforts.  Each class had a range of activities and events during the 4 days and there was a lovely balance between whole school and individual class events. I was also delighted to see pretty much every child and adult dressed up as Scientists in their lab coats.  Thank you all for being so supportive and taking such an active part, including all our parents who paid their contributions and ensured their children came looking the part.  They really enjoyed the week.

We then had Sports Relief on the Friday, organised by Mrs Angus and Mr Gear.  A really sporty theme to the day with the fabulous inflatable assault course, everyone running or walking a mile, everyone in red or sports clothing.  Year 5 even managed to win the Medway Games indoor Athletics competition and Year 1 medal in the multi skills.

We also had a beat the goalkeeper penalty competition....and yes a few did...but only a few mind!

The week signed off with a raspingly fine cake sale....nothing like a bit of Ying & Yang for balance.  Some excelled in the running and bouncing, and some in the cake area.

Last week was also busy.  Year 6 children took part in a mock trial, organised by one of our parents Mrs Philpott.  They not only enjoyed themselves but also managed to win their case....lots of future Solicitors perhaps?

I spent a day out at a Recruitment Fair in Rochester but managed to persuade a couple of friends to join me with the promise of swag and a free lunch.

The week culminated in two wonderful Assemblies from our Year One classes and every child going home with an Easter Egg, courtesy of our Friends Association.

Very strange have the Easter Weekend in the middle of a term but nice to have a proper Bank Holiday Weekend to look forward to for once.

Four seasons in one term.....
