Roald Dahl Day

One of the key ways in which we will improve standards in the school is through providing the children with an exciting, challenging and rich curriculum in which to learn.

Yesterday was very typical of this approach.  The children have spent the first two weeks of term immersing themselves in a Roald Dahl book, generating a range of reading and writing outcomes and Friday was their celebration of this.  Once completed, their learning will now be displayed for the whole school community to visit in our Main Hall as part of our frequent whole school exhibitions.  I hope you are able to come along and see for yourself what fun they had and how much it helps their learning to develop.

The costume character parade was wonderful to be part of and all the staff were so grateful for the amazing efforts made by the children and their families to create such a spectacle.

  1. Love how these events bring the whole school and families together. Was lovely seeing all the costumes and how proud the children were of them. The school is going from strength to strength.
